Lermitte of the Minorie, London Mercer,
Edward Mason< no role > of Spittle Fields in the County of
Middlesex Weaver , James Kestesven of York Street
Covent Garden Mens Mercer, Henry Boyce< no role > of Swan
Street in the Minorie, London Gentleman , Sarah Davis< no role >
of Dukes place London Wife of Mens Davin< no role > Mary Davis< no role >
of the same singlewoman , Sarah Simon< no role > of New Court
near Dukes Place London Singlewoman , Ann Groves< no role >
servant to sd [..] Sarah Davis< no role > who being severally on Oath say
as follows and first this Informant Thomas Lermitte
for himself saith that he hath had lately stolen from his
two pieces of figured velvet, the one piece containing
twelve Yards and the other piece nine, both of the
value of ten pounds and upwards, says that he hath seen
and examined the two waistcoat piecesofnow produced and believe,
they were a part of the figured Velvet stolen from him
as aforesaid and this Informant Edward Mason< no role > This name instance is in set 2756. for
himself saith that he hath viewed the two Waistcoat
pieces now produced, saith that both the pieces were
manufactured by him this Informant, says that one is a
new pattern and that he hath only sold thirty five Yards
thereof to wit to the Informant Lermitte fourteen Yards
and to Messrs. Carr & Kesteven< no role > of York Street Covent Garden
twenty one Yards, says that he sold nine yards of the other
Patern to the said Informant Lermitte, And this Informant
James Kesteven< no role > for himself saith that since the Delivery of
the twenty one Yards abovementioned, then hath been only
one Yard and half thereof sold by him or his Partner, and that
to a Mr. Monkhouse a Taylor in Oxender Street , for a Customer of
his at that End of the TownAnd this Informant Henry Boyce
for himself saith that he purchased the two Waistcoat
pieces now produced of he Informant Sarah Davis< no role > at the
price of one Guinea, says the same were sold and delivered
to him on Sunday last was Son night, And the Informant
Sarah Davis< no role > for herself saith that on sunday the seventh
day of this Instants October, Isaac Sakey< no role > the prisoner now
under Examination came to her this Informants Apartments
in Dukes place, and [..] offered to sell to her two pieces of figured
Velvetcontainamounting in Quantity to twenty one yard
except one Quarter, that they at first differed about the price
and the said Isaac Sakey< no role > went away, but this Informant
sent her Son after him and agreed to give him the money he wanted
