The Information of Ann the Wife of George
Boucher of the Glaziers Arme Water Lane Black Fryers Fleet Str.
London Victualler taken this 5th. Day of August
1780

This Informant on her Oath Saith that about Nine
o Clock this Morning as She Deponent was then Sitting at
the Sap Room Window the Sash afsd. Window having been thre [..]
up or open she Dept. saw Abraham Dunford Wm. Newton [..] under Exaicon go into No. 21 an Empty House opposite to Deponents And that abt to [..] and [..] afterwards he heard the Cry of Murder repeated two or three
Times issuing as Deponent then conceiv'd from said Empty House
No. 21 directly opposite to Deponents sd. Dwelling house in
Water Lane aforesd. & wch house had been unoccupy'd about
3 Months, That immediately or soon after hearing said Cry
of Murder she Informant heard the Noise of a Person as
if groaning and in great Distress, & wch she thought proceeded
from sd. house No. 21 & which greatly alarm'd & terrifyd Dept.
who thereupon Step out of her House over the Way & looking
thro' the they Stote of the Front Door No. 21. she discovered the
Persons of three men, One of wch the Talles 2 of the sd 3 Persons
appea'd to Dept. he have or hold with his right hand one of
the other two Persons by the Collar of his Coat & wch Poor so Seiz'd
was then groaning in like manner as Depont. had just before heard
& described That Dept. being much agitable & of righted at
what she had heard & soon she immediately ran to the Parlour
Window on the Ground floor & throwing ye same up The first Thing
that presented to Depts. View was Wm. Newton Come of the two
Prisoners now under Exaicon who had seized ye said other
3d. Person whose name appears to [..] James Watts< no role > a Clk belonging
to Messrs. Wright & Gray Bankers in Lombard St. That the other
Deponant upon now looking at theyeother Prisoners Abraham Danford< no role >
sayPositively on her Oath says he is the very Man whom she
saw hold in & y sd. James Watts< no role > by his Collar thro the Key hole of
Parish at Door. That y sd. two Prisons having as above Seizd
ys James Watts< no role > he being one of the [..] calld Quakers & who from
certain Scruptes of Conscience refused to be examin'd upon Oath
And having well might accomplish'd their Do seeming Intent to
rob him [..] of his Pocket Book they being in the Act of
