Ward aforesd. had Notice thereof And was then & there duly required
to appear among others in the Court holden before the Mayor and
Aldermen of the said City in the Guildhall of the said City of
London on Monday next after the Feast of the Epiphany
then next following to make due presentment of all Offences in that
behalf presentable within the Ward aforesd. for the Public Good
Nevertheless the said Hermanus Berens< no role > little regarding
his said Duty in this behalf intending & endeavouring the due
Execution of his said office last mentioned totally to neglect
continually after his said Election into the said office until the
day of the taking of this Inquisition (although often requested)
and on the said Monday next after the Feast of the Epiphany
as London aforesd. (to wit) at the parish aforesd. in the Ward aforesd.
in London aforesd. to make his Appearence as aforesd. or to make
any such presentment as aforesd. or his sd. Office in any manner
to execute voluntarily obstinately & contemptuously hath altogether
refused & denied & yet doth refuse & deny against his said Duty
In manifest contempt of our said Lord the King & his Laws
To the bad Example of all others in the like Case offending and
against the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown & Dignity
