The Information of Samuel Newton< no role >
of Saint Mathew Bethnal Green
taken before Us two of his Majesty's
Justices of the peace for the said County

Who being upon Oath saith that he has known John
Field the person now present three of four Years & that he user
a Jeweller by Trade that about five or Six Months ago
the said Field came to this Informants House & told him
he could selt him Shillings and Six pence and produced
several to this Informantbestand bought of time three
Guineas worth of Counterfeit Shillings & Six pences
at the rate of twenty Six Shillings for a Guinea
That about a Month or Six Weeks ago this Informant
bought of the said Fields Wife One Guineas worth
of Counterfeit Copper Farthings at the late of Twenty
eight Shillings for a Guinea which Farthings this
Informant Sold to Terence Shee the person now
present for the same Money which was paid further
by this Informant and saith that the Faithing is
now produced andthefound in the Possession of the
said Terence Shee and the same which he so Sold
to him as aforesaid
