next day and found that Flint had himself
broke out a great many of the Brilliants and had
left [..] a few very small ones in the Silver
which he this Informant cut out by the next day
And this Informant further saith that the
met Flint by Appointment on the Saturday
and found that Flint had cleaned all the
Diamonds and first them into six different
Parcels; that on bringing there Diamond, out
he asked this Informant if he could sell them
for him, adding that he had had these stones
by him six Months, and he thought it would
be more prudent to turn them into money
than to make them up-he then ask'd this
Informant to sell them for him, to which he
consented, but said that the day (which was
Saturday) was a wrong day to sell them on, as
stat people [..] might be offered to would them by think
the Owner was necessitated for Money and be
indicsed to ofter less for them than on Another
dayFlint uplied never mind go and try
he likewise told him that they would fetch a
good deal more if sold on bredit & not for ready
money to then said "do your best" there our
paper for you try them first" And this Informant
further saith that he sold the Diamonds in
single paper to Mr. Benjamin Stephenson< no role > Silversmith
on Ludgate Hill on the same Saturday which was ye.
Eighth day of February, for twenty eight pounds and
six pence which he was paid for past in a Note from Mr.
Stephenson to him this Informant at three Months
for twenty six pounds, and the Remainder in Cash
that these Diamonds weighted four Carrotts one Grain
and a sixteenth-That the said day he pawned six
other [..] Diamonds to Mesrs. Fleming & Jones Pawn brokers
the Corner of Wine office Court in Fleet Street and [..]
