maketh Oath that sometime in the Month of March last one
James Harvey< no role >
was taken into Custody by one Jones
a Constable for stealing a half Peck Loaf of Wheaten Bread
the Property of this Deponent and the said James Harvey was
afterwards committed to Prison for the said Felony and the
Deponent was bound by Recognizance to prosecute the said
James Harvey for such Felony at then next Session of the
Peace to b told for the said City And this Deponent saith that
nott nowing in what Manner the said James Harvey was
to be Prosecuted for the said Felony he this Deponent
expected to have received some Notice from the said
Jones when it would be necessary for this Deponent to appear
prosecute the said James Harvey And this Deponent
saith that on that Account omitted to appear at the said
Session to Prosecute the said James Harvey for such Felony
but this Deponent saith that he was not Guilty of such
Omission to defeat Public Justice or with any Design to
favour the said James Harvey or for any Reward of hope
or Promise thereof.
