Sheweth


That at the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King holden for the City of London at
the Guild hall within the said City on Monday the Eleventh
Day of July one thousand seven hundred and fifty seven
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said City of
London then and there assembled did in pursuance of an
Act of Parliament passed in the thirtieth Year of the Reign
of his late Majesty King George the second Intitled an
Act to explain and amend an Act made in the Eighteenth
Year of the Reign of the same King to prevent the Misbehaviour
of the Drivers of Carts in the Streets of London and
Westminster and the Limits of the Weekly Bills of
Mortality and for other Purposes in the said Act
mentioned Did unanimously assess and rate the prices
for the Carriage of all Goods which should be taken
up in the said City of London and carried by any
licensed Carts or Car-rooms as well in the said City
of London as from the said City of London into the
City of Westminster or any other place or places not
exceeding the Distance of three Miles from the said
City of London and amongst other Things did Ordain
and set Town the Rates following to be paid for the
Cartage of Goods-to wit-from any of the Wharfs
between the Power and London Bridge to Dyers Hall
Coal Harbour Steel yard double Hood Warchouse
Lawrence Pountney Lane three Cranes Queenhith
Queen Street Hill College ill Dowgate Hill and
several other places therein mentioned

For a Load of dry Goods-two Shillings and six pence
For a small Load-two Shillings

For an half Load-one Shilling and six pence

That your Petitioners are Renters of Warehouses
in and near Queen Street wich do not exceed the
