To the Right Honble John Wilkes< no role > Esqr . Lord Mayor
of the City of London And the rest of his Majestys
Justices at this present Sessions of Oyer and Terminer
and Goal Delivery of Newgate held at Justice Hall
in the Suburbs of the said City the 12th Day of July
1775

The Humble Petition of Thos. Judd< no role > a Prisoner
in Newgate

Humbly Sheweth


That your Petitioner was committed the 20th Day of June
last upon on Indictment found Against him at the General Quarter
Sessions of the Peace holden of the City of London in the Month of April
1774 For feloniously buying taking and receiving from William Or me
the Younger Six Hundred Peices of false and Counterfeited Copper Money
made to resemble the Copper Coin of this Kingdom called an half Penny
not then being Melted or cut in pieces at a lower rate and Value than
the said Counterfeit peices of Money did by their denomination Import
and were Counterfeited for Against the Statue Etc

That your Petr. doubts not upon his Tryal but to prove his
Innocence of the above said Charge alledged Agt. him in the sd Indictment

Wherefore you Petitioner most Humbly Prays That he
may be Tryed Bailed or Discharged at this present
Sessions.

And your Petitioner will ever
