Thomas Gates< no role > of Hoxton in the County of Middlesex Gentleman and Marshall of
the City of London maketh Oath and saith that on the Twenty third Day of April
last Bernard Levy< no role > Hannah< no role > his Wife Magnus Levy< no role > Judith< no role > his wife
Abraham Hart< no role > Hannah< no role > his Wife and Rebecca Solomons< no role > were committed
to Prison on the Oath of Elizabeth Jackson< no role > and others on a violent
suspicion of stealing a Brocade Lutitia Ground Sack and Petticoat
a Stomacher and a great Quantity of other Wearing Apparel of the Value
of One hundred Pounds her Property And this Deponent saith that
Esther Moses< no role > late of Pump Court in the Parish of Saint Botolph Aldgate London
is as this Deponent hath been advised and verily believes a material
Witness against the said Prisoners touching the said Felony for which
they stand Committed as aforesaid and that without the Benefit of the
Testimony of the said Esther Mosesthe said Elizabeth
Jackson cannot as he is advised and verily believes prosecute the said
Prisoners with Effect at this present Session for the said Felony And this
Deponent saith that he hath since the said Prisoners were so committed
to Prison as aforesaid made diligent Enquiry after the said Esther
Mosesin order to procure her to appear as a Witness
against the said Prisoners but this Deponent saith that he was not
able to discover where the said Esther Moseswas to be
met with untill Sunday last when he this Deponent was informed
and which Information he believes to be true that the said Esther
Moseswas then at Bristol and this Deponent saith that
he will with all convenient speed made or cause to be made
