Who being upon Oath says that in the month of December 1772 or the
Beginning of the Year 1773 Thomas Watkinson< no role >
now present uttered and
published as true to this Informant in the City of London
a certain
Bill of Exchange now produced purporting to the Bill of Exchange of Michael
Watkinson upon Messrs. Phillips & Co. Carey Street Foster Lane
Cheap Side
London for seventy five pounds payable to Mr: John Handforth or
Order two Months after date dated Sewstern 26th. Decr. 1772 with
an Acceptance thereon accd. J:P: purporting to be the Acceptance
of the said Messrs. Phillips & Co. that this Informant had since enquired
of Messrs. Philips & Co. at the Corner of Carey Street in Foster Lane
and
is credibly informed and verily believes that the said Acceptance is
a Forgery, and further says that he does verily believe that
the said Thomas Watkinson< no role >
uttered and published as true to this
Informant the Said Bill of Exchange with the said Acceptance
thereon knowing the said Acceptance to be falsely made forge
and counterfeited With Intention to defraud this Informant
