Middlesex To wit

The Information of Daniel Olivier< no role > Esqr . and
Joshua Van Neck< no role > Esqr . taken before me this
28th. day of January 1772

Who being upon Oath say that they have seen a Draught now produced
purporting to be the Draught of Joshua Van Neck< no role > & Co. upon the
Carhiers of the Bank of England dated London 21st. Octr. 1765 for four thousand
five hundred pounds, and these Informants both say that no such
Draught issued from the house of Joshua Van Neck< no role > & Co: at that Time
by the Directions of either of the Partners in the said house who
were then Sir Joshua Van Neck< no role > Bart . The Honourable Thomas Walpole< no role > &
Daniel Olivier< no role > , and these Informants further say that they do verily
believe the said Draught to be false forged and counterfeited with
an Intention to defraud the Governor and Company of the Bank
of England , and the said Daniel Olivier< no role > for himself says that at the
Time when the aforesaid Draught as he was informed was published at
the Bank there were a Sufficient Quantity of Checks in the Compting
house of Sir Joshua Van Neck< no role > & Co. and farther says that the Check on
which the aforesaid Draught is drawn never was in their Possession and
that they did not at that Time send any Servant of theirs for any
Checks from the Bank and that he never saw the said Check on which
the aforesaid Draught is drawn until it was brought as a Voucher
from the Bank,Andthese Informants both say that their Book
commonly called their Bank Book in general might be come at by
any of the Clerks employed in their Compting house and farther say
that a person now present who calls himself John Vestenburg< no role > was
one of the Clerks employed in the said Compting house at the Time
when the aforesaid Draught was published at the Bank Viz on
the 21st. of October 1765 and the said Daniel Olivier< no role > for himself says
that the Clerk usually sent to Bank for Checks for the Use of the
said Compting house was one Isaac Roche< no role > and that he never sent
any other Person to the Bank for Checks, and these Informants both
say that the said John Vestenburg< no role > And as a Clerk is the said Compting
