< no role > of Petty coat Lane London Tinman Severally make Oath and
Say and first this Deponent Michael Wilcox Saith that having been
Served with his Majestys Writ of Subpena hereunto annexed on Monday last to attend this
Honourable Court and give Evidence to the Grand Inquest on an Indictment
to be preferred against One William Maggs< no role > for Perjury he this Deponents
was coming to London on Wednesday the Sixth of September Instant in
Order to be in readiness to attend and Give Evidence as aforesaid But on
coming over London Bridge he this Deponent was arrested by Charles
Lucas Officer to the Sheriff of Middlesex at the Suit of Jacob Warrer< no role >
(on whose Behalf the said Defendant gave the false Testimony) and was
by him conveyed to the Poultry Compter And this Deponent Saith that
on being so arrested he instantly acquainted the said Charles Lucas< no role >
that he was Subpenad as aforesaid and Shewed him the said Subpence
and desired him to read the same which he the said Charles Lucas< no role >
refused to do and said it was of No Consequence And this Deponent
[..] Hitchcock Saith he was present when the said Michael
[..] as above and did see him Shew the said
[..] Subpence
