fighting some time. Says it was a fair Battle
and seemed to be precarious for same time who
would surred, but at lenght the deced was
worsted. Says that as the deced & Knight
both lay upon the ground their heads near each
other they both declared they would fight till
they were dead. That Dept. went to the deced
as the was [..] siting on the ground & [..]
him if he wod. fight any more to which he
in a faint manner, answered not, & the Battle
end and Dept. then went away and never saw

maketh Oath & saith that Thomas Knight< no role >
hath worked with Dept. as a Journeyman
for the
Space of eight Months last past or there abouts
that hearing last Wednesday a Battle was to be
fought between sd. Knight [..] the deced & [..] find way
that the not of Depts. Journeymen would go to six
the battle, the Dept. went there to bring then back.
after it was ever: that Dept. saw the whole agt.
the battle, which was fair one, & the deced
appeared to have the advantage over Knight
very much for a considerable times, but at
length the deced gave out: says Knight was so
weak as not to be able to walk [..] witht. help
& was had to [..] a Publick House near the Place.
[..] where they fought. Says Knight man
struck the deced after he declined fihting as Dept.
verily belives.

any thing to him, nevertheless Dept. [..] Body
& found several Bi [..] & Particularly [..] violent one upon
his left lye which Dept. believes occasioned his death
