Helen < no role > Widow of the deced maketh Oath & saith that
on Tuesday thirteenth day of May instant the
deceased [..] after having been out about his
Business from abt. 12 of the Clock at Noon hereunto
abt. the same hour at night and told this Deponent
that he had received some hurt upon his head, and on
this Deponents asking him who had hurt him, he
made answer that we Captains at the Sign of the
Kintish Hoy situate in Harp Lane in Thames Street
London Where he had been to sell his Goods had
thereon, lighted Gunpowder in his face and that one of
there went behind him and [..] tripped up his
Heels [..] threw him upon the grounds on which Dept. asked him what provocation
the dend had given them, who answered he had not
given them any, says the dead, complained that
he had been hurt very much and had receivd his
Death's wound that the deced want to be [..] not
shop the whole night, that he lay in bed [..] the real
day till abt. 8 in the Evening not having had any
[..] the whole time; that bat. the last mentioned he
came down [..] and went out for abt. an hour or two
and then where house having [..] eat anything
then hold [..] any thing us Dept. honours of
except a small quantity of Tea most of which he
brought up again that [..] Dept. com afterwds. perswalled
him to go to bed which he did still complaining of the
hurt the Captains had done him, & saying that [..]
lifted up his foot his head seemed to be [..] in two
halves, that he had no sleep the whole night, nor did
he eat indigest anything: that abt. 11 of the Clock the next
Morning the 15th the [..] seized with Fills, on which [..]
I on a Surgeon in the Neighbourhood was sent for who
came and bled him and [..] come medicines which
