WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Giles
London. That Mary Rackstraw< no role > Widow of John
Rackstraw< no role > deced whose Settlement cannot be
found is
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Mary Rackstraw as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and We do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Mary Rackstraw< no role >

to be in the said Parish of Saint Mary Rotherhith

and that thitherto she ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in his Majesty's name to Will and re-
quire you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Giles
London , forthwith to remove and convey the said Mary Rackstraw< no role >

from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint Mary at Rotherhith
And her deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are heeb7y required to receive and pro-
vide for her according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this Fourth Day of July One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Sixty five
