that on or about the Thirtieth day of November One thousand seven hundred
and Sixty Four Seventy Five Tons or Three thousand Bushells of English
White Salt were Loaded on Board the said Ship or Vessell at Lymington
aforesaid and cleared there in order to be conveyed by Sea to the Port of
London for and on account of Jonathan Bowles< no role > This name instance is in a workspace.

and that the Duties for the said Salt had been actually paid to his Majesty
And these Deponents further say that on the fourth day of December
One thousand seven hundred and Sixty four the said Ship or Vessell with
the said Salt o Board her Sailed from Lymington aforesaid for the Port
of London and in the Course of her Voyage met with very violent and Storn [..]
Weather and the Sea run over her by which means the Water unavoidably
run into her Hold and damaged the said Salt insomuch that Three
hundred and Seventy eight Bushels of the said Salt were totally lost
and Perished at Sea And both these Deponents Say that the Loss of
the said Salt was not occasioned by any Lockage of the said Ship or
Vessel or by any Negligence or Default of these Deponents or of any
of the Mariners belonging to the same.
