Nathaniel Kelly< no role > of White Chapple Road in the County of Middlesex Milkman
maketh Oath and Saith that he this Deponent together with one Daniel Sullivan< no role >
became bound by a Recognizance in the Sum of Twenty Pounds for the Appearance
of Douglass Mc.Kenzie< no role > in September Session One Thousand seven hundred and
Sixty one to plead to an Indictment against him and one Thomas Owen< no role > and other for
a Riot and assault and this Deponent saith that soon after the said Recognizance
was taken the said Douglass Mackenzie< no role > unknown to this Deponent either entred
himself or was impressed a Soldier in some of the new raised Regiments in his
Majestys Army and was immediately sent abroad into Foreign parts from whence this
Deponent saith the said Douglass Mackenzie< no role > did not return to England till about fourteen
Weeks ago And this Deponent saith that the said Douglas Mackenzie< no role > having
contracted some very bad Distemper aborad during his Service upon his Arrival in
England was discharged from his Majestys Service as he the said Douglass Mackenzie< no role >
informed this Deponent and which Information this Deponent verily beleives to be
true and this Deponent saith that the said Douglass Mackenzie< no role > being very ill with the
said Distemper soon after his coming to London was admitted a Patient in Saint Thomas
Hospital Southwark where he still remains very ill and this Deponent saith that he
hath frequently visited the said Douglass Mackenzie< no role > since he hath been a Patient in
the said Hospital and that from the miserable appearance of the said Douglass
Mackenzie
< no role > and from the Information of the Nurse that attends him he this
Deponent verily beleives that the said Douglass will never be able become out of
the said Hospital alive And this Deponent saith that the said Thomas Owen< no role > was
afterwards tried and acquitted upon the said Indictment and this Deponents said
Recognizance hath been or Account of the said Douglass Mackenzie< no role > 's being abroad
in Foreign Parts respited until this present Session and this Deponent saith that
he hath been at the said Hospital this Morning to inquire about the Health of the
said Douglass Mackenzie< no role > and he this Deponent was there informed and which
Information this Deponent verily beleives to be true that the sai Douglass
Mackenzie
< no role > still continues in so languishing a Condition that he is not
expected to live many Days.
