Who being upon Oath severally say that Yesterday about the
hour of Six in the Afternoon they these Informants went in
Company with Mr. George Oxlade< no role >
Clerk
in the said Office
to the House of Daniel Carrington< no role >
a Sorter of Letters
in the above
office Situate in Hoosley Down
in the County of Surry
in order
to Search for Letters suspected to have been frandulently taken
from the said Office by the said Carrington and by him con [..]
in the said House in order to Defrand his Majestys and
these Informants farther say that in Consequence of such
Search they there found several Letters which were [..] pened
instead of having been properly forwarded according to their
respective directions, and that they likewise found a great Number
of Letters which by the Tax upon such Letters appeared to
have before come to the said Carrington's hands and for which as
they verily beleives, he had received the Postage without having
accquainted for the same to his Majestys Revenue
