Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. Mary at White Chapel
in ye County of Middx
and to every of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of th Poor of the said
Parish of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate
London, That Benjamin Scrivener< no role > aged Seventy
two Years & Elizabeth Scrivener< no role > his Daughter
aged twenty one Years Singlewoman are
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of ye said Benjamin & Eliz as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and We do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Benjamin & Elizabeth
to be in the said Parish of St. Mary at White Chapel
and that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to will an re-
quire You the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Benjamin< no role >
& Elizabeth< no role >
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
St. Mary at White Chapel
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for them according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this 6th Day of June One Thousand
