The Information of John Wilson< no role > taken
before me one of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace in and for the said County

Who being on Oath saith that he is Partner
with Thomas Thornhill< no role > and they Carry on the business of
a Grocer in St Pauls Church yard in the City of London
and this Informt: saith that a person now present who
calls himself John Ridgway< no role > was employed by this
Informant in the Capacity of a Porter and this Informt: [..]
had intimation that the sd Ridgway pilfered Tea &
other Goods out of this Informt: shop this Inform: chargd
the sd: Ridgway with the fact when he confessed that he
had taken a small quantity of Tea out of this Informts:
Shop upon which this Informt: insisted upon Searching
the sd Ridgway's room which was in [..] ather Lane and
in a Box in the sd Room this Informt: found the Several
parcels of Tea Chocolate and Sugar now produced
which Sd: Tea Chocolate and Sugar the sd: Ridgway
Confessed he had taken from this Informt: the sd Chocolate
being marked W. it J. which is the mark placed upon
the Chocolate made at this Informts: Shop.
