WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
theChurch-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Precinct
Parishof Whitefryers
London, That Mary Wells< no role >
Widow
of Thomas Wells< no role >
deceas'd
is
lately come to reside in their saidParishPrecinct not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Mary Wells< no role >
as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and We do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Mary Wells< no role >
to be in the saidParish of
Liberty of the Rolles
and that thitherto she ought by Law to be sent.
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you theChurch-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the saidParish of
Precinct of Whitefryers
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Mary Wells< no role >
from and out of your saidParishPrecinct unto the saidParish of
Liberty of the Rolls
And her deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for her according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this Eleventh Day of November One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Fifty Eight
