Hop Merchant
maketh Oath and saith that he is seized
of a Freehold Estate of the clear Yearly Value of Twenty Pounds and
upwards over and above all Charges and Reprizes and that he this
Deponent is skilful in the Prices of Oates and other Corn and that
he is a House keeper and lives in the County of Surry And this
Deponent further saith that he is not a Corn Chandler
Mealman Factor or Merchant concerned in the Importation of
Corn or any way interested in any Oats to be imported And this
Deponent further saith that on the fifteenth Day of this
Instant October he this Deponent went to the New Corn Market
in March Lane
within the City of London
on to buy a Quantity of
midling English Oats and that he this Deponent on the same
fifteenth Day of October paid the Sum of seventeen Shillings a
Quarter for the midling English Oats he then bought And this
Deponent further saith that the Common Price of midling English
Oats which were bought and sold in the said Market hath
for three Months last past and upwards exceeded the Sum of
sixteen Shillings the Quarter
