Merchant
maketh Oath and saith That on the
fifteenth Day of this Instant October he this Deponent went to
the new born Market in Mark Lane
within the City of London
in Order to buy some Oats And that he this Deponent accordingly
on the same fifteenth Day of October bought a Quantity of midling
English Oats in the said Market and gave for such Oats after the
Rate of Eighteen Shillings the Quarter and this Deponent further
saith that the Common Market Price of midling English Oats
sold in the said Market hath for three Months last past and
upwards exceeded the Sum of sixteen Shillings the Quarter And
this Deponent further saith that he is seized of a Freehold Estate
of the clear Yearly Value of twenty Pounds and upwards over and
above all Charges and Reprizes and that he is skilful in the
Prices of Oats and other Corn and that he is a House keeper and
lives in the County of Middlesex
And this Deponent further saithe
that he is not a Corn Chandler, Mealman, Tactor, or a Merchant
concerned in the Importation of Corn or any way interested in any
Oats to be imported
