the Deceased had been quarrelling and that the deced
had threatined to hill his Mother with a Lap
Stone, upon which said Lewis answered the
deced that if he killed his Mother he would

about 6 in the Evening

deced came to Depts. House with Lewis
Alsop and Man unknown that they
continued there 'till near 9 o'Clock, That
the Man unknown was giving Hughes Advise
but dept. knows Nothing of any Quarrel
between them, that their discourse run chiefly
about the Quarrels between

the deced, and further saith that the Man
unknown, said if any Body abused his
Mother in the like manner, if he could crawl
on his Hands & Knees be would be reveized,
saith that

& her son Lewis
went away first & in about half an Hour
afterward the deced & Man unknown; Saith
that in a Short time after he heard that
Hughes was killed, upon which depont
went into Hughe's Lodging Room & found
him in or upon the Bed either deed or dying.
