me one of his Maties Justices of the peace for
the said County}
Who being upon Oath Says that on Thursday Night last about
ten Minutes after Eight o'Clock as he was in an Auction Room in Fleetstreet
a Person
now present who calls himself Siles Dowling came up to this
Informant and asked him what it was [..] Clock to which this
Informt. pulled out his Watch and told him it was about half an
from after Nine And soon afterwards went out of the Room, and
in Company with the said Jiles Dowling< no role >
, and or they were walking
along this Informt. asked the said Siles how far he was going,
to which he replayed into Fanchurch Street
, says that thereupon
they walked together till they came to the Post Office
, and they bid
one another good night, and the partyparted, And the Informt.
further says that he presently afterwards returned tomewards
and he sa was going up Feter Lane a Person Struck him a
Violent blew upon the back part of his head, and said Dog deliver
or Words to that Effect, At which time this Informt. gave him
his watch, And further says that upon looking at the said Siles
Dowling now present, he verily beleives and is Almost positive
that he is the very Person that Robb'd him in the manner aforesaid
