To the Rt. Honble. The Lord Mayor
of the City of London and others His
Majesty's Justices of the peace for the
same city in the Genl. Sessions of the
peace of the same City assembled

We the Grand Inquest for the City of London having
taken into our serious Consideracon the very fatal
& pemicious Consequences arising to Apprentices and other
Servants from the great number of Garning Houses
& Bawdy houses so notoniously supported in this Metron
police in defiance of the Laws of this Kingdom Do in order
to reduce the same most humbly present a certain
House kept by one Seymour & Now or late called Waghorn's
Coffee house scituate in pope's head Alley, Cornhill in
London to be a notorious Garning house and that several
Gamblers Gamesters other informous person for the
Space of Six months past have been permitted a skill are
permitted to play at Billards therein for divers large Sums
of money and another hour kept by oneSmith
in Lamberd Street London to be a notorious Bawdy
house for the reception & entertainmt. of [..] loose
& disorderly men women & wheres at all times as
well in the Day time as in the night time for the
Space of Twelve months last past hitherts And we
most humbly recomend is to this Honble. Court to divers
the prosecution of three pounds as the same are manifestly
a Great nusances to the Inhabitants of this City
