To the Keeper of the workhouse

in the City of London , and also
to all Constables, and other Officers
whom it may concern, to receive
and convey. And to the Church-
wardens, Chapel-wardens, or Over-
seers of the Poor, of the parish of
Saint Giles Cripplegate
in the City of London
or either of them, to receive and obey.

to wit.

WHEREAS Catharine Patterson< no role > was

apprehended in the City of London
as a Rogue and Vagabond wandring abroad at nights in
the open airat nightsand giving no good Account
of herself
and upon Examination of the said Catharine Patterson< no role >
taken before me upon Oath, (which Examination is hereunto
annexed) it doth appear, that the last legal Settlement of the said Catharine
Patterson is in the said Parish of Saint Giles
Cripplegate

These are therefore to require You and said Keeper
to convey the said Catharine Patterson< no role >

to the said parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate

there to be delivered to some Church-warden, Chapel-warden, or
Overseer of the Poor , there to be provided for according to Law.
And You the said Church-warden, Chapel-wardens, and Overseers of
the Poor, are hereby required to receive the said Catharine
Patterson and provide for her
as aforesaid. Given under my Hand and Seal this 31
Day of August in the Year of our Lord 17 52 .
