John Thompson< no role > a Prisoner maketh Oath and saith that on Monday the 23d Day of March
in the Afternoon the sd. John Davison< no role > complained of a Pain in his Head & in the Night got
as serval Times & complained of his Bowells Says that he made him some Gruel & gave
it him, And on the Wednesday Morning heard him say that they might have as well
have cut his Throat as given him the Shift they had And at the same Time accused
Joseph Johnson< no role > and Henry Pestell< no role > with giving it him in his Milk.

George Gamon< no role > & Tabez Tricky< no role > , both Prisoners says as the before Witness

Thomas Meadows< no role > Surgeon & Prison in Ludgate Maketh Oath and Saith that on
Wednesday the 1st. Day of April he opened the Body of John Davison< no role > and found that
the Stomach & Bowells were in flamed pretty much & distended with Wind But on opening
the Stomach & Bowells found but very little Excrament. And but very little Mucus,
whc is the shiny Matter that is Assistant for the Passage of the Excrament, Says that the
Intestines appeared free from a Gangreen or Mortification, which must in Consequence
appeared in Case any Poisonous or Mercurial Medicine had been given; further says
that he attended the sd. John Davison< no role > Wednesday before when he found him convulsed
But on Enquiry found that he had a violent Purging And that he was then convulsed
& speechless Says that Mr. Delmahey was sent for; And by the Advice of this Deponent
he had a Clister & then the Purging abated; says that his Wife went to Dr. Lob who
prescribed for his the he did not see him Says the Clister which were prescribed by
the Dr. were spiritnous & Smell as strong as if he had been dipt in Rum, Says that he
then told Mrs. Davison that any Thing so Spiritnous would be prejudicial & ought to
have something softer, Says as to the Cause of his Death cannot form a Judgmt.
otherwise than by the Convulsions and Inflamation in his Bowells.

Alexander Delmahey< no role > say that he was sent for to one John Davison< no role > and sent him
Things proper for a person that had a Looseness & pains in his Bowells Says that
Dr. Lobs Prescription was made up at his Shop & that a Boy come once or twice for
some Jallop and Salt of Wormwood.
