Oath That the above Defendant in this Cause at the last Session holden
at the Guildhall
in and for the City of London
was convicted of the Offence
abovementioned and the Court thereupon Ordered Deft. to talk with
the Prosecutrix and accordingly respited Judgment till this present
SessionThis Deponent in Obedience thereunto did on Behalf of the said
Defendant on the twelfth day of September last go to the said Prosecutrix's
Dwelling House and there in the Presence of her Husband Informed her
That if she and her Husband would give Defendant and her Husband as
General Release he this Deponent was ready and would give the said
Prosecutrix
the Sum of two Guineas at the same Time telling them That
the said Defendant and her Husband were ready and willing to give
them a General Release To which the said Prosecutrix and her Husband
said That they expected a much larger Sum of Money or also wou'd begin
fresh Prosecutions against the said Defendant and absolutely refused
to take the two Guineas or execute a General Release to the said
Defendant and her Husband for any such Sum.
