To the Church wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Saint James in
Dukes Place London andthe Church wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Katherins near the Tower in the County of Middx.

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto Us two of
his Majesties Justices of the Peace for this City and the
Liberties thereof one being of the Quorum by the Church wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint James
London That
Thomas Peter< no role > and Mary< no role > his Wife are

lately come to reside in your said Parish not having obtaind any
Legal settlement there and are likely to become chargeable
there to unless timely prevented Wich Complaint We judge to
be true and for as much as it appears unto Us by the Oath of
the said Thomas Parker< no role > that he rented and lived in a
House of Fourteen Pounds a Year in the said Parish of
Saint Katherines for four years
And no other Subsequent settlement appearing unto Us We the
said Justices are of opinion and do Adjudge the last Legal
settlement of the said Thomas Parker< no role > and Mary
his wife
to be in the said Parish of Saint Katherines
And that thitherto they ought by Law
to be sent

These are therefore in his Majesties Name to Will and
Require You the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint James
London Forth with to Remove and Convey the said
Thomas Parkes< no role > and Mary< no role > his Wife
from and out of your said Parish unto the said Parish of
Saint Katherines
And them deliver unto the Church wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there or one of them Who is and are hereby required
to Receive and Provide for them according to Law Given
under our hands and Seals this Secondday of Decr.
one Thousand Seven hundred and Forty Six
