At the General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the
City of London at the Guildhall within the said City on
Monday the seventh Day of April 1746. in the Nineteenth
year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second
King of Great Britain Etc before Sir Richard Hoare< no role > Knt.
Mayor of the City of a London Sir Simon Urlin< no role > Knt . Richard
of the Said City Sir John Thompson< no role > Knt . Sir Robt. Williamott< no role >
Knt . Alderman of the said City and others their Fellowers
Justices Assigned to keep the Peace of our said Lord the
King within the said City and also to here and Determine
Divers Felonies Trespasses & other middlesex Committed
within the said City.

Whereas Ann < no role > the Wife of Robert Cumberlidge< no role > the Younger
and their two Children Robert< no role > aged twenty two months & Richard < no role >
aged eight weeks by virtue of an Order or Pass Warrants & under
the Hands and Seals of two of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
for the CIty of London (one being of the Quorum) bearing
date the Seventh day of November 1745 were sent and Delivered
by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Alhallows the Great London unto the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Giles without
Cripplegate London upon the Oath of Robert Cumberlidge< no role >
the Elder and other Circumstances that the place of the last
legal Settlement of the said Robt. Cumberlidge< no role > the younger
was in the said Parish of St. Giles without Cripplegate
Now upon hearing the petition and appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Giles without
Cripplegate , in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Alhallows the Great , agst.
the said Warrt. & Judgmt. of the said two Justices & having heard what
could be alledged on either side by the respective Churchwardens
their Council and witnesses in and Concerning the premises
It is therefore now Considered & Ordered by this Court
that the Warrant and Judgment of the said two Justices
be quashed and the appeal allowed and that the said Ann
Cumberlidge & her sd. two Children be sent back and Delivered
to the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Shallow
the Great to be by them maintained & Provided for until They can
Free themselves from the Charge thereof by due Course of Law.
