Sovereign Lord the King did unlawfully and without any just cause or
provocation whatsoever make an Assault and him the said Benjn. Thrumpton< no role >
being then and there [..] and being his [..] Businessthey the sd.
Thomas Mumford< no role > otherwise Mountford< no role > and Wm. Andrews< no role > did then & there without
any just cause or provocation whatsoever push and throw down upon a
certain Planker Board then & there Placed upon a certain Lighter or Vessell
then & there lying upon the said River of Thames and whichsaid Plank
or Board did each or extend from the same Lighter or Vessell and the
Share there By reason and means whereof he the said Benja. Thrumpton< no role >
was then and there hundred and obstructed from transacting and doing
his lawful Business afd. By all first Means whereof the Sd. Benja. Thrumpton< no role > and
wasalsothen and there put into very great fear
& danger of losing his Life by falling into the said River Thames there that into
say at London afd. in the Parish Ward afd. And other mischiefs to and
upon him the said Benja. Thrumpton< no role > they the said Thomas Mumford< no role >
otherwise Mountford and Wm. Andrews< no role > then and there did To the
great damage of the said Benja. Thrumpton< no role > To the evil & Pernicious Example
of all others in the like care offending and agt. the peace of our said
Sovr. Lord the King his Crown & dignity And the said Jurors
upon their and Oath de further present That the said Thos. Mumford< no role >
otherwise Mountford and Wm. Andrews< no role > upon the said 19th. day of Novr.
in the said 20th. year of his Present Maty's Reign with forced & Arms at
London afd. (that is to say) at the Parish aforesaid in the Ward afd. at
a certain place there scituate called Stone Stairs in and upon the said
Benjamin Thrumpton< no role > in the Peace of God and of our said Sevr. Lord ye King
then
