the said Defendant and William Cole< no role >
of the same Parish Clerke
to the said Mr. Goodall Severally make
Oath And first the said William Goodall< no role >
for himself Saith
that he was Indicted by Samuel Knott< no role >
for Perjury with
respect to the Payment of Two Guineas And this Deponent
Saith that he intended to have Tryed the Traverse of the said
Indictment at this present session but after a diligent Inquiry
this Deponent was informed by Mr. Boulton of Fish Street
Hill London Vintner
and others and verily believes That John
Molleson< no role >
of London
Merchant
is at this time at Amsterdam
in Holland
on some Extraordinary business and is not expected to
return to England before next April and this Deponent Saith
that the said Mr. Molleson whilst in England used to Board and
Lodge at the said Mr. Boultons And this Deponent lastly Saith
that the said Mr. John Molleson< no role >
is a very material Witness for this
Deponent with respect to the defence of the said Indictment and
without whose Testimony this Deponent cannot safely proceed to
the Tryal of the aforesaid Indictment as this Deponent is advised
and verily believes William Cole< no role >
the other Deponent for himself
Saith that he did on the Twenty first day of February instant
personally serve Samuel Knott< no role >
the said prosecutor with a true
Copy of the written Notice hereunto annexed at his House
situate in Rose Mary Lane
