About the Latter end of October or beginning of Novr 1729 she applied to cane Mary Proctor< no role > This name instance is in set 4558. This set is in the group(s): . who was much under
her power (as her husband was then a Prisoner for debt in Newgate) and proposed the thing to her and promised that if
she would go with her and someothers of wch Warwick (hereinafter named) was to be one & swear the Robbery
agt. Frankland she would give her a New Gown and Petticoat and other Necessaries & told her that Frankland
and the Bitch his wife had sought her (Defts) ruin by Complaining agt her and her husband to the Court of
Aldren & that she should not be easy till she had got them out of the way.

readily came into and then she again press'd Proctor to go with them & offered to dress her as fine as a Lady, But she still
refusing Deft said Then Warwick must go (intending to have gone without him I Proctor had consented to go) But
made Proctor promise not to tell Warwick that she had asked her for fear I Swore that Mr. Warwick should be
affronted

In the Evening Deft sent for Warwick told him that Bygrave had consented to go, But that it was proper he
should have a Sight of Old Frankland & therefore she bid him take Bygrave to the Tapp and did one Wint call

Scheme was converted Vizt. that they should call three go the next day to some Justice at Chelsea And that Bygrave
should Psonate Mr Spurce (named in the Indictmt.) Bygrave saying he was very like him. and Deft was to pass
for his Sister

Accordingly next Morning (being the 9th. Novr) The Deft & Warwick in a path called upon Bygrave at the
Bear Tavern in Gerrard Street & so proceeded together at Chelsea

When They came to Chelsea being Informed at Mr. Justice Elsher's house that he was at Salter's Cohouse they went
to him thither, By grave told him his Horg, and Deft Informed what her pretended Bror had said told the Justice
that she too was robbed at the same time, Out that she would not for the World be positive as to the man

But Mr. Elhers not liking the Com [..] of the Story & her objecting to their not thinking to apply to some Justice nearer
Newgate , told them he was a going to Town ye could do not stay to take their Information.
