WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us, two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this City and the Liber-
ties thereof (one being of the Quorum) by you the [..]
[..] Overseers of the Poor of the said [..] Precinct of
White Fryers London, that Arnold Matthews< no role > , Margarett< no role >
his Wife and their five Children, Vizt. Ann< no role > aged about 16
years, Charles< no role > James< no role > twins aged abt. 4 years Michael< no role > aged
abt. 2 years and William< no role > aged about nine Months are
lately come to reside in your said [..] Precinct not having obt ained any legal
Settlement there, and are likely to become chargeable thereto, unless
timely prevented, which Complaint we judge to be true and for as much
as it appears unto us by the Oath of George Brock< no role > , that the said
Arnold Matthew< no role > was born in the said Parish of
Alhallows or all Saints in the Town of Hertford in Hertfordshire
and that his Friends Lived in the said Town and
Parish for Severall Years
And no other Subsequent Settlement unto us, we the said Justi-
ces are of Opinion, and do adjudge the last legal Settlement of the said
Arnold Mathews< no role > Margaret< no role > his wife & their 5 Children
to be in the said Parish of Allhallows or all saints in ye town of Hertford [..]
And that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to Will and Require you
the [..] Overseers of the Poor of the said [..] Precinct
of White Fryers London , forthwith to remove and
convey the said Arnold Matthews< no role > his wife & their 5 Children
from and out of your said [..] Precinct unto the saidParish of Alhallows all saints in the
Town of Hertford in Hertfordshire
And them deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
there, or one of them, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for them according to Law. Given under our Hands, and Seals,
this 8th. Day of January in the Year of our Lord 17 35 .
