William Fidzer< no role > taken last Night by ye watchman & Mr. Cookes
Coachman Sayes [..] that last Saturday he look a lodging in
a little Court turning in by a Coffee maker in Blackman Street Southern
left hand side, & lay there Saturday night Tuesday night Monday night
Taesday night, & Wednesday night Wm. Williams & Cha. Parrot lodging
there in the same house [..] different beds they havein lodged there
for about 6 months before as try said, Joan Bayes alsoe lodged in ye
Janes house comeing thither last Sunday night Fidzer before lodged at
Mr White heads watchmaker, who lived to me time in Fleet lane for a yeare & more off & on
& is a book binder by trade but has artd as a drover for better than
two yeares & for two yeares before as a labourer to ye paviors &
bricklayers vizt [..] pavior in Spittle fields & Robert bricklayer< no role >
who was concerned in ye buildings at St. Bartholomews hospitall
they Has been inwas in new prison able 4 Yeares agoe being then an apprentice & taken
in a haycock, & when discharged went to his [..] Mr: Tebb in holiday yar'd in
Creed lane booke binder but did not Serve out half his time parting by
his mary ceresent last night Fidzer with Wm. Williams< no role > & Charles Parrot< no role >
(Bayes being in Custody) about 7 o Clock came from their lodgings interday
to come to Red lyon Street Clerkenwell to take lead having been there the
night before, when Williams [..] Standing upon ye [..] railes looseard
ye lead over ye door but under an apprehension of ye watchmen went away
& left it; when they came to ye Place last night Cha. Parrot< no role > was helpt
up upon ye door but could not loose the lead, upon which he came downe
& Fidzer went up & loosered one hold fast but was discovered & taken the
other two getting awayWednesdayTuesday night Fidzer Williams Parrot & Bayes
wentbeing together at an empty house on the hill near Carter lane, parrot neat in at the
Cellar Window opened the Street door & then Williams & Bayes went into ye
house, & took Some lead off the house of Office & Fidzer [..] to cut it up Williams
then Waiting at ye. door, Fidzer went out for his apron haveing all his owne Saw a Weeman Standing
at ye next door, who interrupted them & went to ye empty house door & called
people to her 'Parrot & Bayes being then in the house but parrot being Small
got out at the Cellar Window but Bayes was taken Monday night all four
of them were abroad and in St. John Street over against Swan Alley at a
Cheesemongers , the boy Parrot tooke out one Cheese first then another then a third
& got off clear with them, & Fidzer & Williams sold the three Cheeses to Mr. Wilcox who keepes
a Chandlers Shop & [..] in Gold Bayles the Same night about eleven o'Clock, the Cheeses
weighed about £30 & Wilcox gave 4s.6d. for them, & then they went when lodging
