JOSEPH HYAM< no role > , Junior , objected to only as no Housholder.

But he appeared to declare that the Lease of his House was assigned, and the Key
deliver'd him, about a Month before St. Thomas's-Day, 1724. That he gave £50.
Fine for the said House, but permitted the then Tenant, of whom he took it, to
Lodge there till Christmas, 1724. since which Time he has personally inhabited
there, and paid all Taxes.

N.B. One of the Scrutineers for Mr. Jenkins, Etc. offer's to produce the Lease so
assign'd; but this was not admitted by the Alderman, tho' he had received a Freedom
on the other Side, to clear up a Vote for Mr. Colt, after the Scrutiny.

SAMUEL OXLADE, objected to only as no Housholder.

it ws Pleased [..] Colt's side, and for whom
he polled) that he was possess'd of his House a Month before Christmas 1724-
tho he did not commence Rent for some Consideration before Christmas 1724.

N.B. This Person polled for Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Mercer, but not for Mr. Colt.

The Names and Cases of four Persons allowed as good Pollers
for Mr. COLT, Etc.

JOSEPH HODGES< no role > was objected to in every Respect as disqualified.

And it appear'd, that he and only f. Wicks, inhabited a House of £31 per Ann.
that Wicks paid £25. per Ann. for his Part, and Hodges £6. per Ann. for his
Part : Both polled, and Wicks in disalow'd for not paying all Taxes. And Sir 'Peter
said of Hodges upon the Scrutiny, viz, Why he says himself he pays but £6.
per Ann.

M. DUNCAN objected to as disqualify'd in ever Respect.

It appeared [..] lived in the [..]
and it was supposed that he does not pay above 2£. per Ann. The other Person
carries on a Trade in the Lower Pan, and liable to pay all Rates, and serve all
Offices. Duncan was required to appear to justify his Poll but never appeared
there, nor any other in his Behalf.

JOHN MILLS was Objected to by Colt, Etc. as no Houshoulder, which was ad-
mitted by the Scrutineers for Mr. Jenkins, Etc. but it happening that he had polled
for Colt and Ravenscroft, it was offerd by them to withdraw the objection, but
was not agreed to by the other side.

REBERT BOURN, objected to as having polled for eleven Persons, and he ap-
peared, and said, He would not give a little Apple, whether his Poll was made
good or void : But his Pol for Mr. Boock is ooly disallow'd and allow'd good
for the other Ten he polled for.

Thus this Affair, as far as is necessary for a fair and impartial Stating of the Cafe, is
laid before the Publick, in the same Manner as it appears to the Scrutineers, which
would have been done before, if he names of the disallowed Votes union the
Scrutiny, which were sent to two [..]
sooner.

It is very happy for the Citizen of London, that the late Act of Parliament
does point out a Rule, whereby the [..] residing Officer, and other Citiizens, may almost
judge in every Cafe, who is truly Elected. May a Number of honest and upright
Magisrates he perpetuated to this great Corporation, to walk according to this Found
Rule.
