London, and the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St Bridget
als Bridges London respectively.

WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Bartholomew ye Great
London, That Elizabeth Norris< no role > the wife of Francis
Norris
< no role > , and Elizabeth< no role > their Daughter about Twelve
months old are lately come to reside in
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge
able thereto by reason of their Poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said Elizabeth Norris
the Wife that she served her Apprentiship with
one Hannah Buckley< no role > a Button maker in the Parish
of St. Bridget als Bridges London (her said husband being
Forreigner & hath gained no legall Settlement in this Kingdom
and that she the said Elizabeth hath
not obtaind any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said Elizabeth Norris and her
Said Child to be in the said
Parish of St. Bridget ats Bridges London and
that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re
quire You to remove and convey the said Elizabeth Norris
and her said Daughter Elizabeth
from and out of your said Parish of St Bartholomew
the Great London, to the said Parish of St. Bridget ats
Bridges London and them leave with ye Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the 26th
Day of November Anno Domini 1724
