WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and-Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Anne in Black fryers
London, ThatSarah Willcocks< no role > the Wife of John
Willcocks
< no role > with her Child named Charles Willcocks< no role >
a year old or there abouts are lately come into and
new resident in
your said Parish of St. Anne not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto by reason of the Absence of the Said John
& the Poverty of the Said Sarah unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of Elizabeth Gresham< no role >
that about Twenty two years ago the said John
Willcocks her Son was born in the Parish of St. Clement
Danes in the County of Middx where She was then
an Inhabitant and that the Said John Since his
Said Birth hath
not obtaind any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stice are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge thelast
legal Settlement of the saidSarah Willcocks and her
Said son Charles Willcocksto be in the saidParish
of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx.and
that thitheretotheyought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re-
quire You to remove and convey the saidSarah Willcocks
and the said Charles her Sen
from and out of your said Parish of St. Anne in Black
fryersLondon, to the said Parish of St. Clement
Danes aforesd.and them leave with ye Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the 31st.
Day of March Anno Domini 1724 .
