to the Parish of Chipping Onger in the
County of Essex

That Your: Petrs: dwells in the parish of
Chipping Onger in the County of Essex in which Parish by his
Industry he hath always Supported himself and Wife and one Child

That Yors: Petitioners wife being with Child, and near the time
of her Delivery the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Chipping Onger refuse to suffer Yor:Petr: any Longer
to dwell in the said Parish, exept Yor: Petr: bring them a Certificate
from the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the Parish where he
Acquired his last Legal Settlement, And have Obtained a Warrant
to remove them his Wife (now near the time of her Delivery) and
Child out of their said parish, which may tend to the ruing of Yor:
Petr: and Poor Family he being unable to gitt a Livelihood for
them in the Parish where his Settlement is,andwhich at Chipping
Onger he is Capable of doing if he could continue in Peace there

That Yor: Petr: Humbly conceives the Place of his
last Legal Settlement is in the Parish of St:Peter Le Poor in the
City of London, he living as a Menial or Hired Servant with
Sr John Bull< no role > above the last Two Years before his Marriage
and was Married dureing the time he was his Servant, but the
Yor: Petr: hath (to his great expence and loss of business) severall times
waited on the Churchwardens and Overseess of the Poor of the said
Parish of St: Peter Le Poor for a Certificate to prevent the danger of
removing his Wife in her Condicon & there utter ruing they that
ChurchWardens & Overseers of the Poor refuse to give him any

Yos: Petr: therefore humbly Prays this Honble: Court will
Please to Order the said Churchwardens & Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of St: Peter Le Poor to give him a Certificate
that he may be enabled to Support his family and prevent the
damage he may susteyne by being removed from his present
aboad, Or that he may be otherwise Retried as they in that
great Wisdom shall see meet

And Yor: Petr: as in duty found shall ever Pray Etc
