WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace
for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwarden and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Gregory by St. Paul

are lately come into
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto by reason of their Poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said

that about Eight years as he was a yearly hired Servant
at Ten pounds p. Ann Wages with the Reverend Father
in God John late Lord Bishop of Ely Desed by the Space of Seven
year or there about some the Time of his Deals in the Liberty of
saffron Hill Hatton Garden & Ely Rents
in the Parish of st
Andrew Holbourn
in the County of Middx and hath
not obtained any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said

to be in the said Liberty
of Saffron hill Hatton Garden & Ely Rents in ye Parish & County aforesaid and
that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law, Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given Under our Hands and Seals the First
