The Order of Sr. George Thorold< no role > Knt . & Baront . Lord Mayor of the City of
London & Sr. Thomas Abney< no role > Knt . one of the Aldermen of the said City & Two
of This Majestys Justices of the Peace for the same City (Quor unus) and both
resideing next to the Limitts where the Parish Church of the Parish of [..]
St. Gyles without Cripplegate in the City aforesaid, Standeth, made at the
Request and Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish the Fifteenth day of March in the Sixth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Brittain France & Ireland
King Defender of the Faith Etc. Annoqr Dui 1719. according to the Form of the
Statute in that Case made & provided concerning a Feamale Bastard Child born
of the Body of Ann Richardson< no role > Singlewoman in the Said Parish of St. Gyles
without Cripplegate London on the Nineteenth day of November last past
and which said Female Bastard Child is new become chargeable to the said
Parish and is likely so to continued.

Upon the Examinacon of the Cause and Circumstances of the Prmisses taken upon the
Oath of the Said Ann Richardson< no role > before us the said Justices and due Consideration thereof
being by us had It appeareth unto us That the said Female Bastard Child was born in the
said Parish of St. Gyles without Cripplegate London & is become chargeable thereunto
And that one Edward Filewood< no role > a Higler living at Aygate in the County of Surry did begett
the said Female Bastard Child on the Body of the said Ann Richardson< no role > Wherefore We
the said Justices do adjudge him the said Edward Filewood< no role > to be the putative Father of the
said Female Bastard Child And for the Releife of the said Parish of St. Gyles without
Cripplegate for what they have already expended and to Indempnify them from the
further Charge of the said Bastard Child Wee the said Justices Do hereby order the said
Edward Filewood< no role > forthwith upon Notice of this our Order to pay or Cause to be paid unto the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Gyles without
Cripplegate or to some or one of them the same of Nine Pounds Two Shillings and Ten
Pence of lawfull money of Great Britain which appeareth unto us to have been by them
already expended in maintaining the said Female Bastard Child and other insident
Charges And also that he the said Edward Filewood< no role > Do and Shall on Monday in every
Week weekly from house forth So long as the said Female Bastard Child Shall continue
Chargeable to the said Parish of St: Gyles without Cripplegate pay or Cause to be paid unto the
Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish for the Time being Some or one of
them the Sume of Three Shillings & Six Pence of like lawfull money for & towards the
Maintenance of the said Female Bastard Child In Witness whereof we the said Justices have
hereunto Pettour hands and seales the Day & year first abovewritten
