Complaint being this day made unto us two of this Maties. Justices of
the Peace for this Citie and the liberties thereof (Quox nuns) by You
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poore of the parish of St. Andrew
in Holbourne London That Anne Humfreys< no role > Widow of John Humfreys< no role >
Gentleman deced with their Son John< no role > aged eighteen yeares or there abts.
being deafe and blind are lately come into your said Parish not having
obtained any legall settlemt there and have been and are likely to
continue a Charge thereunto unless timely prevented And for as much
as it appeares unto us by the solemyn affirmacon of Thomas Hyam< no role > This name instance is in set 1483.
one of the People called Quakers taken instead of an oath according
to Act of Parliamt. That the said John Humfreye< no role > the father in his life
time about two yeares agoe rented an House of him this Affirmant at
twenty and five pounds P ann rent in the parish of Tottenham High
Cross in the County of Middx and dwelt therein for severall monthe
and for that it doth not appeare to us that any subsequent settlemt.
hath ever been obtained We are therefore of opinicon and doe adjudge
the said Parish of Tottenham High Cross in the County of Middx to be
the last legall settlemt. of the said Anne Humfreys< no role > and John< no role > her Son
and that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in His Maties name to require you the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Andrew in Holborne
London forthwith to remove and convey the said Anne Humfreys< no role > and
John< no role > her son from and out of your said Parish to the said Parish of
Tottenham High Cross in the County of Middx and them leave with the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poore there or one of them who
is and are hereby required to receive and provide for them acording to
Law Hereof faile not And this shall be your Warrt. Given under our
hands and seales the twentieth day of December Anno Din 1716 .

of the Poore of the respective parishes
of St. Andrew in Holbourne London
and Tottenham High Cross in the
County of Middx .}
