The Information of Charles Heley< no role > in Colchester Streete
in White Chappell living with one Mosibley Shoemaker

This Informant saith that about nine of the clock last night being the
Evening of the Anniversary of the birth of the late Queene Elizabeth as he
was going by Aldersgate he saw a Mob of about two hundred persons
armed with Clubbs and Staves and a person at the head of them in
a Merry Andrewes habit with a large Cutlasse in one hand and a link
in the other (whose name since appeares to be Isaiah Barty< no role > ) And this
Informant saith that he this Informant (together with diverse other persons
being Informed that diverse scandalous Effigies in derision of the present
Government were prepared and lodged in an empty house in little Brittain
they went thither and brought them away but as they were going
along the aforesaid Mob with the said Isaiah Barty at the head of
them followed them and over took them and imediately assaulted them
and knockt Severall persons downe (perticularly one Captain Hilliard
which this Informant saw himself) in hopes to rescue the said Effigies
from them.
