On Fridayonyeard of Aprill I went to his houseon some
& falling into discoursehe told meabt the
matter he told me he would take out a
Bank Bell & receive Money thereon & make
a Tryal whether he could not take out
this new sort of Indossemt.wch [..] tta old as he said
he accordingly did take out a so, Bank nose of 39 & apporating me to come
on Tuesday to see the Tryal sent
while I was wth him at ye Hoop Tavem
by the Monumt as Porter to ye Bank who
brought wll yt he had read of ye said Bill
after wch. going to his house wth him he
carried me up to his Closet & before me laid
on some liquid Stuff on some accidentall
red Ink Clotts on yeBillnose saying yt. if he
could take of thoseClottshe could take
out ye Indorsemt but this experimt failing
he said [..] he knew a Wash wch. being
us'dheto Bank Notes he was sure he
could take of the Indorsemt There on
what so ever such Indorsemts were

If I were to see the Notes abovemt
I beleive could tell them again & to the best of
my remembrance the money read upon
the Bank note above describ'd to have
one Indorsemt of ye & remaining amounted
to 175tt
