Whereas complaint hath beene made unto us Whose hands & Seales are
hereunto Set two of her Majesties Justices of the Peace of the Citty of London
Quorum Unus by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poore of the Parish
of St. Giles without Criplegate London that William Lutwych< no role > with Elizabeth
Lutwych
< no role > his wife and his three Children (to say) Frances Lutwych< no role > Aged
eleaven yeares Seaven Months or thereabouts, and Benjamin Lutwych < no role > aged
six yeares and six Months or thereabouts , & Nathaniell Lutwych< no role > aged
eighteene Monthes or thereabout is lately come into the said Parish
endeavouring to gaine a Setlemebnt there without giveinge Notice in Writing to the
Churchwardens & Overseer of the Poore of the same Parish and is likely to become
charegable to the said Parish, And it appeareing unto Us upon
examination of the said Elizabeth Lutwych, and Edward Lutwych< no role > Brother
of the said William Lutwych< no role > on their Severall & respective Oathes that
the said William Lutwych was Aprentice to George Penell< no role > in the Parish of
St. Margret in Westminster in the County of Midlesex Taylor on Indenure
dated on or about the Twenty Fourth day of May Sixteene hundred
eighty eight and hath since his said Aprenticeship gained any
other Legall Selement . Wee therefore Adjudge the Parish of St. Margaret
in Westminister aforesaid to be the Place of the last Legall Setlement of
the said William Lutwych< no role > And do Order and require you the Officers
of the Parish of St. Giles without Criplegate aforesaid Some or One of you to
take passe and convey the said William Lutwych with his Wife and
Three Children aforesaid to the Parish of St. Margaret in Westminster
aforesaid and there Deliver them to the Churchwardens & Overseers of the
Poore of the Parish of St. Margret in Westminster or One of Them
Who are hereby required to Receive and provide for Them according to
Law, and hereof you nor any of you are not faile given under
our handes and Seales this Twelfth Day of December Seaveteene hundred
and Nine
