& acknowledged upon Oath the 10th day
of June Anno Dui 1707

Nather Gibbons< no role > Gen one of the Informants sayth, that
on the 5th Day of this Instant June, about 7 of
the Clock in the Evening, he this Informt: Met Mr
Richard Card< no role > Since Deceased) at the lay house in
the Hay Market & that after the Kan was don then
went together to the Maremaid Tavern on brnhill
London, & Sent a Messuage for one Mr Benjamine
Corbett to Come to them, or th [..] Informt samembers. & that
about 12 of the Clock at night Mr Corbett Came
to them. & after Some Little tyme, they went all
three to play at Dine. & played about 3 hours,
or thereabouts. & that her Cam had conferme
mores of each of them & further Sayth, that
then had Left of thus, & then some words arose
between Mr Cares, & Mr Corbett, about an old debt
of about seventy pounds, Contracted in Ireland,
[..] Corbert same Cary owed him. & that
Mr Cavey told Corlett, that he had money [..]
owing him by another Gentleman, & when he
Could get the money he would pay him. & that
Corbett then replyed what if the other Should near
pay [..] your must [..] you therefore not pay [..] me.
& Imediately Corbett Rose up & told Cary it was Rasially
Done not to pay him his money, & that there-
upon Cary Struck Corbett with his hand open
his faced upon which Corlett fell backward
against the Window. & then Carey Drew his-
sword, & Corbett offering to take his sword also which
was Lying on the Window. he this Informt Woke
hold of him & Endeavoured to keep him
