in the Parish of St. Mary Steyning
Where is a Small Dwelling for their Clarke. That yor. Petrs. are Charged
and Assessed to the Poore of the Said Parish with the Sume of 40s.8d. in
respect thereof Quarterly which is a very greate Rate And more than
the Inhabitants in the Same Parish in proporcon doe pay
Their humble Peticon to yor. Honor. & Worpps. is That
you will be pleased to Order that the Churchwardens may
appeare before you with their bookes of Assessments And
That you will be pleased to abate the Said Assessement
to the Proporcon of other Inhabitants within the Said
Parish
