James Stewart< no role > of Newcastle upon Tine of the County of
Northumberland Marriner aged 32 yeares Mate of the Vessell or
Shipp called the Hope of Newcastle And Francis Pemberton< no role >
Marriner in the same Vessell or Shipp aged Eighteene yeares or
thereabouts make Oath That on the first day of December last 1705
There was Shipped on board the said Vessell or Shipp in the Port
of Blyth Nooke in Northumberland One thousand three hundred
& Sixty Bushells of White Salt being confirmed to John Lewis< no role >
of London Merchant Owner of the said Salt for the port of London which Vessell
or Shipp on the said first day of December 1705 in the
night time proceeding on the Voyage for the Port of
London Upon the same day on Trimonth Barr The said
One thousand three hundred & Sixety bushells of Salt for
which the duty had been paid to her Matie were lost by
Violent and Storing Weather And not by any Leakage of the
said Shipp or Vessell or by any negligence of Default of there
deponent or the Master or any of he Marriners.
