Blacksmith [..] being Examined [..]
toucheing his assisteing Robt. Collins< no role > In ye felonious ta-
-keing of Sheets & other Linyen from out of ye [..] Court yard of
Peter Gorey< no role > Saith yt [..] [..] & ye Examinate being acquain
-tance about a mouth or five weekes since ye sd Sarah came to
Wm. Round< no role > s Shop a Blacksmith where this Examinate wrought
& [..] to [..] him One would Speake with him at Mr. Clarkes
meaneing a Victualler's near at hand & ye Examinate went
with her & ye sd Sarah brought him into ye Company of ye
Sd Robt Collins< no role > who was then a Stranger to ye Examinate
& ye 3d Collins was there drinkeing & asked ye Examinate to drink
with his & said It should Cost him nothing & after they had
drunke there a while ye 3d Collins Said if the would goe a little
way wth. him they would goe & drinke at another house & there
upon about Eight of ye Clock in ye Evening they went Into Barlletts Courte with ye 3d Sarah &
turnd into ye passage yt Leads from thence to Fetter Land & in
goeing along ye 3d passage ye 3d Collin asked ye Examinate to give
him a Lift up a Wall there which ye Examinate did doe & went
on towards Fetter Lane & ye 3d Sarah came after him & desired him to
goe back againe & when ye Examinate came back ye 3d Collins had
got a Flaskett of Linnen to ye Courte gate which he had opend
& be gave ye 3d [..] laskett to ye 3dtogether with ye 3d Sarahs Hand basket
which was full of Linnen & he Sett ye 3d Hand baskett on ye 3d Sarahs
head & ye 3d Flaskett on his owne & went through Barlletts Court
againe & ye Examinate follweing them at a distance observed they
carryed them to Tho: Perry< no role > 's house in Mutton Lane in St. An-
drews Holborne Middx & ye 3d Collins asked this Examinate to come
in thither which ye Examinate did doe & ye 3d Collins & Joan Perry< no role > ye wife of ye 3d Thomas were
Cargaineing for ye 3d Linnen Saveing there Shifts & he asked her four pounds for them & the
offered twenty Shill & in Conclusion he took five & twenty & lost ye
3d Linnen with her & ye 3d Tho: & gave his 3d will ye 3d [..] Perry was then Prsent [..] & ye 3d Sarah Paul

them there & went home to Bell Alley in St James Clerkenwell & ye next
morning ye 3d Collins & Paultin Seeing ye Examinate Standing
